Beginning Tuesday, October 3, 2023 digital banking users will be prompted to set up MFA upon login.
What is MFA?
MFA is an advanced security method that goes beyond just your password. It adds an extra layer of protection by requiring you to provide multiple forms of identification before granting access to your account. This makes it significantly harder for unauthorized individuals to gain access.
Why is MFA Important?
With the rise of digital threats, MFA is your shield against unauthorized access to your accounts. Even if someone discovers your password, they won't be able to access your account without the additional authentication steps.
How Does It Work?
- Something You Know or Are: Your password is the first factor – something only you should know. This may also be biometrics like fingerprint or facial recognition on a smart phone if you have those features set up.
- Something You Have: The second factor is a unique code sent to your mobile device or a phone call to a landline.
Getting Started with MFA:
On Tuesday, October 3, you will receive a prompt to set up MFA when you log in to your digital banking. Follow the simple steps to enable this feature. You'll have the flexibility to choose the MFA method that suits you best. See below for some helpful screenshots of what you will experience.
If you share a login with a joint account user:We strongly recommend each account holder register their own login. If you currently share a login for a joint account, setting up your own username and password is simple to do.
Step 1: Visit
www.premierbanking.bank and click on LOGIN at the upper right corner
Step 2: Then click "First time user? Sign Up" at upper left corner
Step 3: Click green button that says "LET'S GET STARTED"
Step 4: Follow the registration prompts. Call 563-588-1000 if you need assistance during account registration.
